Interwoven ~ YOGA X AYURVEDA

Interwoven - Yoga x Ayurveda
Facilitator: Skaya Hedstrom

Weaving together the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda with creative 5 elemental sequencing and the art of language. A heart felt offering that combines Skaya’s love for Ayurveda, the joy of creative flows and how language influences our experience.

‘Adaption on an individual basis relative to time and circumstances is the essence of both Yoga and Ayurveda.’ Dr David Frawley

What to expect:
A deep dive into Ayurveda focusing on the Doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Learn how these energies influence us as individuals and the world around us. Ayurveda teaches that the individual is a microcosm of the macrocosm of the world around us. With Mother Nature moving in rhythms, Ayurveda guides us to practice awareness and cultivate routines that form a healthy embodied lifestyle so that we may find alignment and harmony.

Ayurveda acknowledges that there are daily rituals(dinacharya) and seasonal cycles (ritucharya) that influence the quality of our lives. Through Asana (physical postures), meditation and pranayama (breath practices) we’ll explore the 5 elements - air, ether, fire, earth and water. This will give rise to body intelligence - instinctively healing ourselves and assisting others to find balance.

We’ll explore tools for creative sequencing, effective cueing and the art of language. The focus is curating practices that align with nature’s rhythms and supports harmony of the body, mind and heart. Inner wisdom becomes our default.
