It is believed the fire built during this practice to be extremely cleansing and detoxifying not only for the body but also for the mind and heart. The continuous movement of Sun Salutations helps activate prana to move stagnant energy within the body so we can get in touch with ourselves and set new intentions for the next season. It will require surrender, patience, and an open mind. Are you up for the challenge?

Why December 22?

As we will be experiencing the summer solstice on December 22, we thought it would be a great time for this cleansing practice. The summer solstice symbolises nourishment and hope. As we move from darkness to light, our summer sun reminds us of the hope that light brings. While we honour and SALUTE THE SUN, we can lean towards nurturing ourselves and others, just as the sun nurtures us.
