Prep & Perfect your Pincha
Pincha Mayurasana is a beautiful yoga asana to begin to learn at any stage of your practice. Translated as ‘Feathered Peacock Posture’ there is something magical about this posture, wherein we must have strength, flexibility and embody lightness. The foundations of this posture are accessible to all and help us understand the mechanics of headstand and backbends. In this mini workshop Senior Yoga Australia teacher Jean Byrne will share her love of this posture, including preparations, foundations and nuanced ways in which her own personal practice of pincha mayurasnaa (forearm balance) has evolved over time.
Meditation: Philosophy & Practice
Join Senior Yoga teacher Jean Byrne PhD for this workshop which integrates eastern wisdom alongside contemporary research to help us understand the benefits of meditation and why this practice can radically alter our life. Gain a depth of understanding of our mental patterns (samskaras) and how the practice of meditation can begin to unravel these grantis (knots) to liberate us.
